1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to FinSkeeter ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website and services (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you must not access or use the Site.
2. Nature of Our Service (Informational Only)
FinSkeeter is a financial data aggregator and community connection platform. Our core mission is to provide you with transparent, accessible information regarding safe, certified bank accounts and to connect you with the institutions that provide them.
We are not a bank, a credit union, a money transmitter, or a financial advisor. The information provided on FinSkeeter—including account fees, minimum balances, and certification statuses—is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, investment, or legal advice.
3. Third-Party Financial Transactions
FinSkeeter acts strictly as a scout and a bridge between you and certified financial institutions. We do not process, route, or hold your money at any time. If you choose to open an account or utilize a service discovered through FinSkeeter, you will be directed to the respective third-party bank or credit union's platform. By using our Site, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- All financial transactions, account openings, and deposits are conducted entirely with the third-party institution.
- Your relationship with the financial institution is governed strictly by their respective terms of service, privacy policies, and account agreements.
- FinSkeeter has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the approval process, the management of your funds, or any customer service issues related to your third-party bank account.
4. Accuracy of Data
We strive to provide accurate, up-to-date data sourced from public records, the Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund, and participating financial institutions. However, banking fees, account features, and certification statuses are subject to change by the institutions without notice. We do not warrant that the information on the Site is complete, reliable, or error-free. You are solely responsible for verifying all account terms, fees, and conditions directly with the financial institution prior to opening an account.
5. Affiliate and Compensation Disclosure
To keep FinSkeeter free for our community, we may establish lead-generation agreements or affiliate partnerships with some of the financial institutions listed on our Site. We may receive compensation (such as a Cost Per Acquisition fee) if you click a link and successfully open an account. This compensation supports our platform but does not dictate the mathematical reality of the fees displayed, nor does it guarantee an institution's placement if they do not meet our community safety standards.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FINSKEETER, ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Site;
- Any conduct or content of any third-party financial institution linked to or integrated with the Site;
- Any financial losses, overdraft fees, or penalties incurred through your use of a third-party bank account discovered via our Site.
THE SITE AND ALL ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FinSkeeter and its team from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from your use of and access to the Site, or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located within New Jersey to resolve any dispute or claim arising from these Terms.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
